Planning vacation

What are some dive/resort locations you guys would recommend?
I am looking for a place that is not overly commercialized or industrialized (i.e. Hawaii, Mexico, etc.)
I have considered Raja Amat, Grand cayman, Maldives, and a few others but the people I am travelling with are concerned with safety/terrorism.
Preferably a nice resort/cabin setting as well.

Stay away from Grand cayman, way too touristy.

Have you looked into belize? Ambergies caye is very safe, 2nd largest barrier reef in the world, the boat ride from your hotels pier and the dive site location is only 5-10mins, best diving I have ever done and the blue hole is a must for any diver.
However i have never done indo pacific diving, if that option is on the table, then yep, Maldives for sure.

My recommendation for resorts on Ambergies caye are Victoria house if you are okay with spending the money, or Mata rocks if you are trying to be thrifty
