Brown string from exhale siphon

My new 3" Maxima has a long brown string -6"coming from its exhale siphon. Do I need to reduce the light? Otherwise looks great.

i wouldn't be too concerned unless it was coupled with other signs of stress. color loss, slow reaction, bleaching, mantle retraction, etc... and isn't a large amount, or persistent.
