Situation:
I have a 55g tank with:
2 x Ocellaris Clownfish (I think they are Ocellaris, that's what they look like anyway)
1 x Blue Chromis
Several Toadstool Leather corals
Several Mushroom corals
1 x Clove polyps frag
1 x Trumpet frag
I also have a 90g that will be in operation very soon. I'm painting the stand this week, then I'll start cycling around Christmas. This isn't a "one day i'll have a 90g" it's a "I have a 90g, it's just not actually cycling yet".
The 90g and 55g will share the same sump.
Stocking Plans
I'm starting to plan out the stock for both tanks. I'm sure of three things:
1) I want a pair of clowns in each tank.
2) I want a tang in the 90g. I'm leaning towards a yellow tang.
3) I want many LPS corals in the 90g, and soft corals / LPS in the 55g.
I think a Bubble Tip Anemone would be cool once I have better lighting as well.
Today
I'm off work today and tomorrow, so it's a perfect time to add a few more fish to the tank.
I'm thinking of adding the following to the 55g today:
1 x Royal Gramma
1 x Firefish
2 x Kaudern's Cardinalfish
January / February:
1 x Yellow Tang (to 90g assuming it's fully cycled. If not, I'd add it to the 55g, and then move it to the 90g when the 90g finishes cycling)
Notes:
I want to avoid expensive fish & corals - at least for now.
I'm planning on a pair of Kessil A160's or A360's for the 90g long term, but for now the 90g will be FOWLR.
Questions
Does today's plan sound reasonable?
Any suggestions?
Any stocking suggestions?
