I have a serpent star in my 60gal reef tank and found it this morning in the substrate torn up and tattered. I have a pair of clowns, a pink fairy wrasse, a coral beauty and a small scopas tang in the tank. The tang was the last addition a few days ago but seems like an unlikely culpriit. Also three legs are severed from the body and although there is a fair size wound on the stars torso, two legs are still attached. Any recommendation on what i should do with it at this point? For the time being I have put it under a rock that i have made a cove underneath for some protection in hopes it can heal up a bit.
