I love the look of rimless tanks but I hate how they always seem to bow at the top. I know that manufacturers design the tanks to be within safety tolerances but I was thinking of what I could do to alleviate this.
Would it be possible to add glass eurobracing to a factory rimless tank to help strengthen the tank and eliminate the bowing at the top or would I be adding more strain on the middle of the glass panels ultimately causing more damage than good?
I have a good local glass shop that can make the glass strips for the eurobracing so that isn't a problem. I already have the silicone so that isn't a problem either.
Ultimately yes it would be easier to just buy a tank with top trim from the manufacturer but rimless and eurobraced tanks look better to me.
