I have about 20 lbs each of dry rock and purple LifeRock. Can I just clean or soak in RODI or does it need to be saltwater?
Is the rock all dry or is some of it mature/live/wet?

About half is dry and half is Caribsea Liferock. Liferock is spored with bacteria.

if its live rock with beneficial bacteria in it you want to keep that in saltwater. the rest of the dry rock can stay in fresh water (RODI) to cure.

Thanks so much. I was getting ready to use saltwater but then did not want to waste any if I could just use RODI.
