I am going to build A project requiring 30 5mm 12v prewired( so they don't need resisters) ultra bright leds of different colors using A 12 power supply . As I am new to this hobby I need some help . What size power supply and how to wire the 30 leds to the power supply , series or parallel .:headwallblue: I also will be using fiber optics but I know how to use them and I know how to attach the fiber optics to the leds. Are you planning on lighting a tank using 5MM LEDs? I strongly recommend you walk away from that idea. The recommended standard for tanks is 3W LEDs and they can be connected in series of 3 leds using a 12V power supply. Look at my build thread below to see how I have done mine in the past with great success.

You should also search for LED Calculator on Google. Enter all the fields and they provide you with recommendations on how to set it up. Good luck.
