Hi guys,

I have had a constant battle with my alkalinity. Im using Triple Buffer but xant find any good guides on how to put it in the tank.

I have a 190l tank and at the minute, when i do a water change i add 3 spoonfuls of it to my 25l RO container. I then mix it up a bit and then add the water to my tank. I do this once every 2 weeks.

Everytime i take a water sample to my fish store they say my alkalinity is too low :/

I do not have a sump running.

Many tanks consume 2-3 dKH per day. I'd start measuring and dosing every day at the same time, and try to get a trend line. If you don't have a good estimate of the water volume, you might need to measure a few minutes after dosing to see how much effect the dose had. This calculator might help with getting doses:
