Got a random frag told it was a torche coral obviously isn't, can it stay where it is with my torches? It looks happy no sign of coral war fare yet what is it called?

I assume that you are talking about the one in the center? Looks like either a hammer coral or a frogspawn. Either way I believe they are from the same family as the torch corals, so I'm pretty sure it'll be ok. Hopefully someone else can chime in to confirm that. Is there any way you could get a better pic of the polyps?

Yep its a frogspawn. They are all euphyllias so they should be fine together, but they do have stingy tentacles so I would watch and see how it goes

They're all Euphyllia's but they are NOT fine together. Torch's can and will sting both hammers and frogspawn, and torch's have a much more potent sting than the others. I own several of all three and I won't put the torch's anywhere near the others. I use to think the same that they could be next to each other, but learned it the hard way.

To say what your new one in the center is, I'd say it looks more like an octospawn. They have different tentacles than frogspawn. Look them up and see if that is it.

I'd listen to the advise of Dkuhlmann and move it to a different spot. Better to play it safe.

He has been moved, just like Dkuh said, better safe than sorry.

Glad you moved it, torch's don't always sting what's next to them but when it happens its bad...

Take a look at my tank build and you will see how I have my corals laid out. Not saying they are all correct but for the most part they are with the types that I have. Nothing is very close to my torch's accept each other. I'm planning on doing something different with all of my acan's and micromusa's, kind of make a garden area for each? I don't know yet.

Euphyllia's are one of my favorite corals of all because of the movement. Make sure they are in an area of low light and low flow, kind of a gentle swaying of the tentacles. Duncan's are also nice and have that same swaying appeal. Just make sure nothing is too close to any of these because they can either get stung or sting others. It's a good rule to keep about 6" between unlike corals just in case. This distance can be less if you use the flow of the tank to keep the stinging tentacles away from it's neighbor.

Check out my build thread, it's located in the LPS forum. Here's the link
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2540376 and let me know what you think or where you might want to move something if it was yours. Hope you enjoy it and please share pictures of your tanks and your corals. Love always seeing pictures and sharing our very own little piece of the ocean. :D

Hammers and frogspawn can be almost touching without issues but torches can only be with other torches

Actually, hammers and frogspawn can be touching.
