I personly have no problems with them in a reef, their one of the better triggers if u have a large system.
But any triggers are a hit or miss in reefs

I believe Mr. Saltwater Tank keeps a pair in his 450.
Gorgeous fish but they do need A LOT of space.
Honestly we keep a Niger in our 300 and his biggest concern is how many times a day he can circle the powerhead. We inherited him with our first tank, a 90, and he was a nightmare, spent all of his time moving rocks and picking on snails. Now he honestly is one of the most mellow fish in the tank and the swim pattern is great. Just understand that triggers are triggers and they do require a lot of space.

Had a pair (7"/6") in my 500g a few years back. Female seemed restless, male eventually ate one of my Green Chomis alive right in front of me. Subsequently removed. Female later jumped. Wouldn't take another pair for free...well, maybe for free.
