Hi everyone, after a couple of years away from the hobby I decided it was time to do another tank. I purchased a used 90RR from a fellow reefer in Upstate Reef Society. I kept most of my equipment from my last setup except for pumps and the tank.

Setup Info:
Tank 90 gallon
Lighting 2 x 119 watt led (20k spectrum)
Sump 3 chamber holds roughly 20-25 gallons of water
Return pump mag18
Skimmer scum sucker 3000 fed by a mag 9.5
Flow Maxspect Gyre pump.

Tank will be sps
Hoping to have a better tank than my last one. Here are a couple of pics of my last tank....

If you have a better tank than the last one it will be great. Those are some nice pics, thanks for sharing.

Hey! Welcome back. Didnt you switch lighting from LED's towards the later stage of your last tank?

I see you've gone LED's again. Any details on those units? Look forward to this build. Happy New Year. :)

Hey sahin, glad to be back. I was running leds for a little over 2 years when I took the tank down. These units are the same ones I was using before. They are Chinese leds. 119 watt units. The 20k version. Blues on 12 hrs and Whites on for 7. Same as before. Still performing the same regime.

Good luck! If it turns out anything like your last tank, it'll be fantastic.
Following to watch the progress.

The tank is coming along slowly but steady. Coraline algae is starting to grow and the frags I put in last month have shown some good growth. Ca. is running around 460 and Alk. is hovering around 9-9.5dkh. Mg. is around 1350. I ended up changing my skimmer to an Octo 150 and is working great. I picked up a few corals from a local LFS. Here's a couple of pics....

:D

So 48 inches side to side, 18 inches front to back, and 24 inches tall? Thanks, just making sure it was a standard. Trying to get aquascaping ideas for my 150 tall which is 72 inches side to side and only 18 inches deep.

I picked them up from a local lfs. I just grabbed two more today. I'll post some photos in a few days.

Very nice great start. :)

Thanks sahin, I'm figuring it will be a couple more months and the tank will settle down. Still getting a little dino here and there. My calcium and alkalinity levels are pretty steady. 460 ca./9.0 dkh.

Great new corals Henry, hope they do well for you.

Thanks Mark, I'm starting to see a decrease in my levels which mean somethings using them. I had to dose 10 ml. of ca. and alk. yesterday so I guess we will see..

Your tank is looking great and I hope your over the hurdles for a while. I know how frustrating this hobby can be.

Looking good, Henry.
The first one looks like it could get blue tips and I like the second one as well, could be a nice blue when it starts growing..
Do you know what type of acropora the first two are?

Thanks reefmutt, the first one is getting blue tips and purple coralite tips. I'm not sure of the species. The second one not sue of the spices either. I think they both have a good shot at being stunning.
