If you have a sump, go with the SCA 301. It is a cone skimmer that skims very well for short money. I had one in a sump on a standard 29 gallon tank and once broken in and dialed in properly it pulled out some thick nasty gunk. While Tunze is a great company (love the Osmolator), the 9001 is specifically a nano skimmer, thus compromises will be made in it's design to accomodate the nano AIO market. If you read a lot of the reviews, it tends to skim wet and seems to be quite finicky.
