I'm thinking of installing my RO/DI in the garage which is uninsulated and unheated. I'm in San Jose, CA which doesn't get that cold most of the time but in the winter, like now, it can get into the low 40s high 30s for daily lows. Highs during this time will can be in the 50s and 60s.

I understand that I will see lower gpd but how will this affect the longevity of the filters?

I tested the tap when I got the setup. I have a water softener so it measure pretty soft. I used the 2:1 restrictor. Will I have to use the 4:1 instead?

Thanks
Vincent

If the membrane and system freeze the membrane will fail, and the housings may shatter.
