Hi I bought some algae wafers yesterday and I wanted to know how often I should give one to my pleco. I asked this yesterday but my account got banned for some reason so I had to make another. Please let me know
P.S I know this fourm is for saltwater but I need help
Thank you

I've never fed plecos. Just let them eat the algae growing in the tank. If you have none then I suppose you could throw a wafer in but I highly doubt there is none in a fresh water system unless it is dark all the time. Even indirect light will grow enough for a pleco. Chances are he won't eat the wafer anyway. If he does, and it doesn't sit around try one every day or two and go from there. Half a tab if small.
To make this saltwater related, hermits really love to eat these algae eater wafers, as do nassarius snails.

My Pleco loved the algae wafers. I'd drop 2 or 3 right by his mouth he'd quickly find them and munch on them. I'd do this every 2-3 days.

Plecos also love fresh sliced cucumber and romaine lettuce.

I have an anglefish in the tank with him. Would a peice of lettuce bother the anglefish?

No, just be sure any veggies that you are feeding are well rinsed.
