As much as I love my reef tank and everything that is involved...the winter season sure does a number on my hands... cracking open all over...and then to put your hands inside of the tank...ouch..so much fun.

shouldn't put your hands in your tanks with open wounds for a number of reasons.

Try burt's beez hand salve to keep hands protected in winter, too.

+1 to that, who knows whats floating around in the tank water. if your hands are cracking try o'keeffe's working hands.

I used a contraption for disabled people on my tank it is probably the working hands being mentioned above. TBH I was scared to put my hands in the tank after reading many a post on this site :)
