Hi, anyone use full spectrum and mh lighting together? If so how was it and does it help with coral growth, like lps, sps and soft corals? I have an un-use 150 mh and was thinking putting this with my led and have it on for 2 to 3hrs. Please let me know if anyone did this..thanks guys..

Tanks size: 110g

I know people use halides at actinic LEDs. How do you plan on using 2 Hydras and a halide on a 48" tank?

Right nowi have two hydra 52 on each end, i would hang the 150mh in the middle and run it at peak time for 2 to 3hrs. My canopy is pretty high its about 15inches high, but the lightings are about 12inches above the water.

I don't know how comfortable I would be putting a metal halide over the centerbrace.

Yea, Thats the only concern i have..if the heat from it affect the integrity of the center brace...

Spslvr, does your tank have a center brace, and is your mh hanging above it? The only place where i can hang it is above the center brace, im concern the heat would cause the brace to weaken long term? What you guys think?

I would not put a halide directly over a center brace. The heat can cause the silicone to fail.

I believe you have 2 braces for 150....at least mine does. I have 3 MH 250 watt on my tank....not directly over the braces tho.

nvermind just saw you have 110....150 was wattage for your MH...LOL...sorry
