I know this has been asked but looking for recent experience.

The tank is a standard 4ft long 90 gallon. Fish only with some live rock. Looking at leds or maybe a 2 bulb t5.

Thoughts? Any specific recommendations? Not looking to go crazy money wise.

IMO, I would do a 4 bulb T5 fixture.

Check these out. I have 2-44" 50/50 on my 90. Also consider the sunsetter ramp timer.

Thanks for the replies.

I was also looking at one of the inexpensive current USA led fixtures with the ramp up controller. Lots of freshwater folks use them. I wouldn't go this route for a reef but for fish only I am not as picky.

I just set up a 5" 120G FOWRL and went with this, very happy with it.http://www.amazon.com/Current-USA-Marine-Aquarium-60-Inch/dp/B00GFTSV24/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452550824&sr=8-1&keywords=current+usa+led

If you check out the LED site I posted I believe you can get one of their fixtures for less and have much more wattage. Their ramp timer is the same as Currents one. I use the 44" 50/50 for my FOWLR.
