Does anyone know what would happen if I added potassium nitrate to the ro/di water that feeds my kalkwasser stirrer? I am chemistry challenged. Would it create a micro black hole that would eat the Earth from the inside out? lol

I know I should just dose the potassium nitrate separately but I was curious about any possible reaction that would take place.

Wolfram Alpha's Chemical Reaction Calculator returns "(unspecified products)" :)

I don't know how soluble all the various compounds would be at that pH. You could give it a try.

KNO3 and Ca(OH)2 won't make any reaction. You'll just end up with a mixture of the two.

Cool, thanks. :)
