I took this last night, the morning of the 16th.

It's 79 photos at 180 seconds, stacked in PixInsight.

More so even than tank photography, processing the picture makes a huge difference in the final outcome. HUGE. Even though the picture I initially posted and this one below are from the same set of data taken the same night, after spending more time in post processing I was able to bring out more light, more of the nebula and still stop from blowing out the stars. Not an easy task.

I was used to tank and other terrestrial photography taking 5-10 minutes a picture and thinking that was extensive... processing my astronomy photographs can be multiple hours...
