I have been looking into building an LED setup... I have seen quite a few here and got some ideas, so thank you all already.... From the research I have done online (although limited) I have learned LED lights have different efficiencies based on bin? So even though you have a setup with all cree LED's, those LED's might emit lighting at different wavelengths and intensity. So, if I were to buy a bunch of LED's online, is there a way to know which bin is the best to purchase? I want to spend the extra money to ensure I am building a fixture with as much efficiency as possible for the money I am to spend. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Welcome to RC!
My go to for LED's is mainly Steve's Leds. If your set on Cree then Rapid LED. They don't always have the 'best of the best' bins but at least let you know what they have and strive to stock the best they can source.
White LEDs on the otherhand, it's tough to beat the overall color of the Bridgelux Vero 10, 90CRI models, I prefer the 5,000k many also use the 4,000k for a little warmer look. Easy to source from places like Digikey and generally only run a few dollars more than a single die white. Down side is they are around 26volts so you'd need them on a separate driver, preferably dimmable as they are crazy powerful. I run 4 over my 55gal as the sole source of white light, and drive them only at a few hundred mA, though they are capable of handling 700mA.
What size tank and type of fixture are you planning?

The LEDs you speak of have brought me back into the hobby recently. I'm really looking forward to getting an updated fixture
