I picked up a mandarin today. I didn't notice when at the store it it appears to have bumps that almost look like blisters. I looked through some old threads but never saw any ideas on what they were. I was planning to add him right to the display but not I am probably going to do TTM on him. He actually looks to have good weight compared to what I normally see at the LFS so I'm hoping he can make it through the TTM process. My display tank is totally loaded with pods and I have Tigger pods. Hopping to get him to take roe while in QT.

The picture below is not mine but the bumps are identical to what is going on with mine.

Do you have a Anemone?

No, it hasn't even went in my tank yet but the tank at the LFS did not have any anemones. It has been at the store for about a week

It looks like he is trying to slime something off.
I've seen this with mandarins that were in systems with heavy ich or other parasitic or bacterial infections.
I would definitely put this fish in a QT for further observation
