Are these only 12 inches tall? I was thinking of buying this but if the dimensions I found are correct then I would be extremely limited with 12 inches of height.

You are correct. The tank sells for $200. The upgraded media baskets are $26 each.

The Nuvo spin stream returns are @30 each

The Sicce 1.5 is $70

So for $225 your getting a $382 set up.
