Does anyone have any good info on a battery back up, I would think during power loss I would only need to run pumps and heaters. Thoughts?

I run one of these on my tank.

Of course I wouldn't be able to run my entire tank for long on it. Most important thing in a power outage is to maintain water flow. Fish and coral can start to suffer in a few hours due to lack of oxygenation. I keep a wavemaker hooked up to the backup for this. If you have a longer term power outage heat can be a factor. Since my heater is 1000W it would deplete the backup battery quickly. Instead I keep a 100W backup heater hooked up to it to keep the tank temp from dropping too quickly at least.

I've been considering wiring a 12v deep cycle battery into the backup to extend my run time as well.

I have this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003Y24DEU/ref=pd_aw_sim_23_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=41zNdp228oL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL100_SR100%2C100_&refRID=03PYTTF9G4DBE8PPMJXP

Hooked up to this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0047E5B90/ref=pd_aw_fbt_23_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=14H598TZRZRTAJ5QDZ1F

And 2 dozen D batteries to power 3 of these if the battery backup runs out: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003TLWXOS/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yet to have a blackout, but I feel like I'm prepared.
