Adding live food?

I want to add some Amphipods and Copepods to my DSA 105 to up the pod population in the tank.I have Cheato in the sump in a eggcrate box.What would the best way to add all of the pods?

I turn the return pump off, temp acclimate them and pour them in there and turn the pump back on about 20-30 minutes later.

I would add most of them to the sump. If you add some to the DT do it at night or most of them will be eaten by your fish before they can find a place to hide.
