Mars aqua power settings

I have a mars aqua 300w unit hung about 10" above my 40b. I am wondering about power settings. I think I will be able to max out the power settings both blue and white channels.The only inhabitants in the tank is a gig 2c lowns and a crocea. Does this sound right, I've heard they are supposed to be very powerful.

yea no need to put them full blast...you dont have any corals,,half way probably still too brite...there is a mars aqua thread also
