i plan on setting up a 120 litre tank (no sump) mostly ceramic rock (about 5 lbs of live rock to seed it).
i will use a rw4 wave pump, hob skimmer and heater.
i do not really intend to use an additional filter if i can help it as others say they are nitrate factories.
the tank will be fish only at the start and for the foreseeable future.
good idea or bad idea?

I would think you need some filter floss or something to catch the trash and detritus that gets stirred around. It's hard to keep the water sparkling clean with no filter.
