Does anyone have any experience with elephant ear mushrooms? Or any mushrooms actually? I got an elephant ear about a 3 weeks ago the size of a dime and it wouldnt open cause i had it directly under my leds. So i wondered why it wouldnt open so i relocated him last week under a rock but half of him was getting light the other half was not. And what do you know? He is open all the way im guessing cause now its the size of a half dollar coin??? Same thing with my watermelon mushroom i had to move him to a shaded area. You think my lights are too bright? I can dim them i just didnt think my light would be that strong since they are chinese knock off leds. Lol anyway i was interested to see everyone elses experience with mushrooms. Btw my led lights are the mr120 for 70$ on ebay. Theyre pretty good for small frag tanks id say :)

Mushrooms do prefer lower light. Without a PAR meter to take readings it is very difficult to know if you should dial down your lights or not for other corals.

I need to invest in a PAR meter cause i have a flavid the war coral, it seems to be bleaching so i moved him all the way to the bottom with a bit of shade. It seems i might have my lights a bit too bright for them
