Would a 40 gallon breeder work well or would it be better to get a larger tank? I have a 40 and just received a 90 gallon tank for free. I was going to put a mantis or a porky puffer in it as the lone fish buddy but the wifey thinks one 180 gallon tank is enough.
Please let me know what has worked for you and I do appricate it.
Also I do not do SPS corals if that makes any difference to what size a fuge should be.
Thanks

Seconded. I'd do the 90, personally, but I like display fuges. A 40B will be great for a churning wad of chaeto or few.

Ok, so basically what ever route I go it will be fine. I just remember people on here stating that you need at least some percentage of DT to make the fuge work. Thanks again guys

I think the 40 would be plenty.

I think the 40 would be enough although the 90 would allow you to have a larger bioload in your main display.

The only other thing is that one or the other would be a QT tank. I am thinking that a 90 gallon QT tank would be over kill but then again would be good for when I get a purple tang to make them comfortable..
