I have a RBTA that is getting to be about 10" across and has not split on its own yet. It is wedged into the deepest darkest hole in the LR it can find such that its foot is completely hidden and impossible to dislodge. Can I take a sharp razor and "slash" it across the mouth and disk to clone it? Or does it need to be a clean cut all the way through? Thanks for any advice

I would wait to get 1 clean cut all the way through. Try putting a power head near it and see if it moves on its own.

Or stress it with a big water change or greasy silverside. Could split from that

Try feeding it a silverside every other day. i had lots of success getting them to split this way.
