View Full Version : Lemon Tree Care

I am starting an SPS tank, but have recently studied on the huge subject of lps care and propagation.

I would love to have a Lemon tree.

My tank has low-moderate flow, are there any specifics I need to know about this coral?

I have the Purple Passion Tree coral, which is the same species. Mine does well in medium light and medium flow. I have had it for 2 years and is a very, very slow grower. I don't feed spot feed it, but I do feed my tank a Coral Frenzy type of coral food.

Thanks for the reply!

Light flow, medium/moderate light is what I am going to use on this tank, so this is good news!

Spot feeding was never an option for this type of coral, since it is in the realm of sps, they can gather most, if not all of their nutrition from the water column. Or better put, most spot feedings offer food that is too large to take in.

I really like these corals vs a standard Kenya tree, and I believe with my setup, it should fit in quite well with acans, zoas, Blastos and mushrooms.

Thanks 06bug!
