Wondering if Al Prime is suitable for growing SPS in a Nuvo 40 Gallon tank (24x20x19)? I am trying to decided between Al Prime and Al Hydra 26 HD. There is $150 price difference between them.
I am planing to grow the following SPS:
Seriatopora (Bird of Paradise, Ponape Birdsnest, Red Birdsnest)
Monitpora Digitata
POCILLOPORA ( Green Damicornis )
Stylo
No Acropora
I would hope to go with Al Prime if possible since its only $200.

A single prime is not gonna be enough coverage. You will get shadowing. You need 2 to reduce the shadowing.

Thanks so which LED fixture would you recommend? Keep in mind I'm only doing Birdsnest and Montis.

I would go for Hydra26 hd, one prime will give you shadow big time on that 40g. If I have $350 I would look for a used Radion gen2 now going for around $300 and its a lot better than hydra26

I'll aim for Hydra 26 HD as I don't want risk buying used lighting for $300. Hope to see nice colors and growth with it, bottom line its Birdsnest and Monti not Acropora.
I would suggest a radion xr15. The radion comes with a wide angle lens that will give you much better spread than the hydra
