So the question is I don't want t5 am done with that expensive road and metal halide is way way too hot for my house In summer, is the kessil ap 700 strong enough to grow some of the most challenging sps out there and yes I know it's as much if not more to do about water quaility than the lights but the lights are my Main concern so will the ap 700 grow the highest end sps out there and I do mean the best of the best!!! ?? Thankyou everyone for all the advise I'm sure to get everyone have a great Monday !!

I have yet to see a hardcore SPS tank running Kessils alone. All that I see that run Kessils, run them with a supplement or with a supplement. For LPS and Softie tanks... They seem to be King and the shimmer is off the hook!

You're not going to get any objective proof on the AP700 because it's so new. Anyone using it only has a few month track record including myself.. that being said, my only issue now with the AP is shadowing with sps. I started to use T5 as a supplement, but it turned the back of my tank into an algae factory, so I pulled the T5s off and I'm back to using a couple of A360WEs for shadow control.

In my opinion the Ap700 is one of the best leds on the market, sps all encrusted and grew fast, I was very worried preordering, but after BRS vid and my own results:dance: I am going to supplement due to growth of sps is starting to shadow itself/ originally was going to light tank with t5/halide fixture , actually tank cycled and ran for three months before going full AP700

You will probably be ok depending on how your rock is stacked. I started with 1 360 on my 40. Went to two and I still have dead spots on my sps where the shadows are. You just can't win with just single point light sources.

360's are great, can't imagine the 700 wouldn't be as good, only problem south kessils is as everyone has already stated, shadowing. You may have to run supplemental light depending on your setup.
