I was given one of the following lights. It's an 8 bulb 4ft t5 fixture. Will it be powerful enough to light a 30" deep 120 gallon tank?

EnviroGro FLT48 4-Ft, 8-Tube Fixture, T5 Bulbs Included https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002TJKS8Y/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_xcDUwbVQ8CQ8D

I'd have to replace the bulbs with appropriate ones.

In addition to the above question.

Can I use shorter bulbs? I really only need 36" bulbs. Can I just build a new enclosure with the endcap closer together for the shorter bulbs?

Heard back from the manufacturer. Looks like the ballasts are the non-switching type and designed for the bulb length that's in the fixture:

Not recommended to use shorter bulb with this unit, each unit is made for the specification to use recommended bulbs and ballasts. Using shorter bulbs or non recommended bulbs may cause issues or a hazard.

Thank you.

Darn. Back to the drawing board.
