Hello everyone, I recently bought this 6ft 150 gallon tank and decided to change the black trim. When I took off the bottom piece their was this loose piece of glass that came off, and I just want to know if anyone knows if this chip is safe or not safe. I will definitely fill the tank and let it sit for a couple weeks before bringing it in. Just wanted to see what you guys/gals think. The glass is 1/2"

I personally would not use a tank with a chip that big.

It looks fine in pic#2 you still have the whole sealing surfaces bonded

That's what I was thinking. Should I put extra silicone or something in that spot when putting the new trim on, or will it not matter?

extra silicone won't do a thing. Although it may very well be ok, I'm not sure I could sleep to well knowing that my wife would kill me if it failed, not to mention the loss of livestock and damage to the house. 150g is a lot of water.

Very true, it is a lot of water, but if I set it up outside and nothing happens, I would think it would be okay.
I've just gotten far enough that I don't want to have to look for another tank, especially after buying this one. 😕
