So my onyx Percula's mouth has been open for the past 2 days. He hasn't been eating and it looks like lock jaw of some sort. He's been looking skinny lately so I'm kinda concerned what it may be and how I can remedy it.

Thanks for the help!

Have you been feeding Krill? I seen a case like this and it was a result of feeding too much Krill as it can cause Lock-Jaw.

Krill, hmm. Do remember if it was only krill, or was it the mixed frozen stuff that contains krill? I am only asking because a lot of the frozen mixed has krill listed. And is that in general, or clown species specific? Thought I would ask if you knew before diving into another round of research

My ocellaris clown did this last year and it went away after a couple of days. I thought it might have stung itself on something.

Saw on the duplicate thread,

Could have been stung by an anemone.

Clowns are only slightly tolerant of anemone stings. It apparently feels like a tickle to them vs a tazer. Might have tried to lick the battery, and got a bit more than it could chew.

No pun intended.

I've only fed nls pellets and mysis shrimp. So I don't know if frozen foods in general can cause it. It ate some pellets today. I'm hoping that it goes away.

I never knew they still get stung by their host anemone. Poor guy looks like it took a straight jab from the anemone!
