Always had a hard time working my mag float so I made a new outside handle.
Was saving this nice piece of zebra wood for something and finally found a use for it. I was also surprised by the magnet. I thought it was gonna be something fancy. Well it probably is since it pretty strong.

You should make them and sell them.

Thanks,
I guess if someone really wanted one I guess I could make.
I wouldn't need to gut anyone's mag float, I did that just out of curiosity, Life long obsession of gutting stuff. Lol
I'm gonna engrave the top of it just to make it a little more personal. Lol
And throw on a durable finish.

Nice Job! I've got a bunch of exotic scrap and a couple of old mag floats myself. Now for a spare afternoon.....

Thanks,
Didn't think of taking any pics.
Pretty much glued 2 X 3/4" thick blanks, Hollow and cut profile out with cnc
Belt sand for uniform edges and finish sanding.
2 1/2 - 3 hours.

While I always like to take apart stuff too as a youngster- 2 & 4 stroke engines, etc.

Let's hope your obsession is limitied at 'gutting' inanimate things! :jester:

Any pics of the guts? I was always interested at to what the inside looks like. Maybe the profile could be reduced to make room for more wood. PM me if your willing to make one for me. I'll trade you some greenbacks.

Hi, yeah I didn't take a pic. But basically it's a bar type magnet.

Beautiful,
Does anyone know where to get the magnets or what kind they are? I tried finding something for frag racks and was surprised that I only found wimpy ones.
