I just recently received my SC aquariums 301 skimmer (was delivered monday) and put it in the tank last night to fire it up. I noticed upon start it was expelling a ridiculous amount of micro bubbles into the sump, almost sounding like soda fizzing. None made it into the return chamber, but it is real annoying. Is this normal? Is there anything i can do to prevent it? maybe run an extension off the output and have them disperse above water line?
The skimmer is sitting in a hair over 8" of water. I had to open the adjustment tube almost to max to keep it from overflowing water into the collection cup. Is this normal for a new skimmer until it breaks in? It also makes a ton of vibration noise resting on the bottom on the sump tank.
..... I feel like i made a mistake buying this skimmer even though i read so many good reviews on it.
