View Full Version : Maxcap 180 help! High TDS output

I have a 5 stage maxcap 180gpd system that was just moved to a new house... the membrane TDS is crazy high (50TDS) which seems odd unless i some how hooked something up wrong.

My Source water TDS 200-215
And after the membrane I'm getting 50 TDS which is crazy high.
Pressure when off is around 75psi. about 60psi when making water and 40-45 with the flush valve open.

I tried letting it run for 20 min and the TDS form the membrane still wont drop below 50. the unit is only about a year old and had maybe 900-1000g though it.

The flow goes
Source water > sediment > carbon > TDS > rear membrane in > waste line goes into front membrane (with pressure gauge). > product water Goes into a Y valve with rear membrane output into ASO. ASO out goes to TDS > Y to either a flush valve or to The dual DI

Waste line from the front membrane goes through ASO/ flush kit and to a drain.

I tried both the Green (previously used) 2:1 flow restricter and also tried the red 3:1 restricter which no real change in output TDS

Do I have something wrong here ?

Top valve on the yellow is a "flush" before the DI to get rid of TDS creep.. other 2 vales offthe splitter go to my top off bucket and hose.

Also do you have a hookup diagram for this system? With the ASO. The dual membrane systems has pre filtered source water and product water. The second looks like waste water and product water through the ASO

Also the first one shows a check valve form product to ASO and the second one I don't see it..

Everything there looks right. Check the waste to product ratio by measuring the good water for a one minute with a stop-watch and measuring cup, and then do the same thing for the waste. We want to make sure that we are at a minimum of 2.5:1
