Today i needed to move an old piece of live rock that wasn't quite where i wanted it. When i flipped it over, there was a nickle sized anemone/torch coral looking hitchhiker stuck to the bottom. Its mostly translucent except for white tips on the arms and i slight green glow from the center. I touched it lightly with a piece of plastic and the arms seem to adhere to it. Any ideas on if this is ok to have and what it might be?

Ball anemone. Not actually an anemone. Closer to a mushroom.

I agree with ball anemone. I've got one that I've found in my tank. It stays small and it's not reproducing for now so it can stay.

I had 2 in my old tank new reproduced and I kind of liked the look of them. Actually found myself looking to make sure they were still there at time's

Yes, ball anemone, typically only open at night and needs to be fed.

I have a few in my tank. Never thought much about them. Until I tried placing a toadstool leather in a spot. Shriveled up and never had polyp extension. No prob maybe the Favia's sweepers were getting. A few months pass by and I put a newly acquired frogspawn in that spot. Next day completely shriveled. But no sweepers on the Favia. So was confused on that one. Next came a Hollywood stunner. Almost instant tissue necrosis. I got to looking that night to see if the Favia was the culprit. Nope. Two ball anemones. Turns out I was placing all the coral right next to them. They pack a nasty sting.
