I personally like the Finnex titianium tubes that need a controller. I also like the Via Aqua titianium heaters with remote controller.

i have not used the Finnex yet, but i have two of the Via Aqua Titaniums and have been very happy with them.

their little controller saved my bacon on my QT tank. my sump on it cracked and drained. luckily the Via Aqua noticed that and shut down the heater with an error code before it blew up.
