I like the mini max but reviews say the sponge is not so great for GFO
I also saw you could hang a phosban 150 on the inside of your sump. I think that is my leader right now. Although the phosban seems less messy.
Any first hand experiences?

I have the same exact tank. Here is what I did with my compartments:
1st chamber: I have the pump and the return line for the BRS GFO reactor. The reactor itself hangs on the wall.
2nd chamber: reef octopus classic 100
3rd chamber: refugium
Return chamber: return pump

My phosban 150 works like a charm in my rather small sump. I run ROWAphos and my phosphate is at a nice stable 0 :)
I actually hang mine on the outside of the sump to give myself room. Works well.

I have ROWAphos in a desktop minimax now
my hammer is really happy today after one day of usage.
You really like the ROWAphos- it seems like a really nice product

IT definitely is. I particularly like how it retains the phosphate within it after maxing out, as opposed to leeching it back into the system. It makes it a bit easier to manage if you aren't exactly sure where the threshold is and don't change it often enough.
