...and bought the $25 Petco mushroom rock. Please heap scorn. :fish1:

By the way, in Petco they look washed out, a light yellow/clear. However, they are actually a strong green color when you get them under reasonable light (the picture doesn't do them justice).

Factories Petco (they have two more).

However, I've seen other posts on RC about these mushroom rocks at Petco. We need to organize a "Save the Petco mushroom rocks!" campaign. :lol2:

My only worry would be introducing encysted ich parasites if you have fish. I'd keep separate from any tank w/ fish for 4 months to be safe.

That looks like a good buy.That same rock would be over $50 from my LFS.
