I kept reading how beautiful this species was so when I had a chance to grab one, I did. Now it has stated taking over the tank!! :headwally:
Please, does anyone have suggestions?

Any fast growing species can be considered a pest if you aren't willing to remove parts of it periodically to keep them contained.

My favorite soft coral! Cut it and sell or give it away! Any xenia type coral is good to seperate it on a rock away from everything else. Good luck and happy Reefing!

I don't think the cespitularia is more of a pest coral than the Xenia. This coral tends to grow upwards and branches out more where as the Xenia spreads all over rock work. With Periodic pruning, you should be able to contain it in an isolated area.
