Hello, I had a malfunction with my ATO 2 days ago that dumped a lot of Kalk. Problem with that is fixed and back up is installed but it raised my Alk to 13.2 dkh. PH did spike that much 8.35 and my tank usually runs from 8.0 to 8.2. Heard just letting my alk drop naturally over a period of days is the way to go. Also my salinity dropped from 1.026 to 1.024. Turned off my calcium reactor for the time being and am not dosing anything right now. water is clear and i had to remove my filter socks bc it would clog them in 6 hours. Thinking about replacing my carbon. Any input on what i listed above. Thanks

Tank parameters right now:
salinity 1.024
alk - 13.2 dkh
calcium - 425ppm
mag - 1380ppm

Tank info:
100 gallon mixed reef with some hardy sps

Those numbers should be safe enough. I would raise the salinity by topping off with a bit of saltwater for a while. If the animals start to have problems, some water changes might help, but I expect that any damage has been done. Most often, tanks come through problems like this with very little long-term damage, so I wouldn't worry at this point.

This is happened once in the past when i had a dosing pump stick. I did have some minor bleaching but i didn't have the amount of sps that i have now. Thanks for the reply
