I just got a 48x24x12 frag tank and have 2 AI Vega's and am wondering if these lights will be enough. They say they will cover a 24x24 area but still wonder if it will be enough.

i dont know those lights but might help if you let us know what you intend to grow.

I would like to be able to try and grow everything and anything that catches my eye.

Some corals like acans have different light reqs than some acros. So you won't get the best growth on every species in one tank with one light. Asking if they are enough is kind of hard to tell when you don't even know what you want to grow. Or at least have an idea. If you have them run them, can always change later

Tallest frag tank is lite by ATI 48' 8 bulb, the green on left is zoanthids lite by par 38, e27 leds, the green on the right is chaeto, the big one in middle is fish home.

everything has a purpose and everything is set a certain way. Your wanting a display tank by the sounds of it. I would go t5 in that case 12" shorter unit than tank. Edges low light center bright light. place corals accordingly.

oh and cant forget the coral guard dogs.
