Fish store has a large Red Planet Acro colony that was damaged during a tank crash. They sold me this frag yesterday and I was wondering if it has a chance of full recovery. It's polyps extend well and have nice colors but it has bleached skeleton/stems. Thanks.

It is hard to see the extent of the damage from that photo.

If the damage does not appear to be spreading there is a great chance to the coral to recover. Keep an eye on it over the next few days.

Thanks. The coral frag is missing green color normally found on Red Planet acros
Otherwise polyp extension is very nice

check out the acro nursery thread in coral prop section. He has sps that have had partial tissue necrosis and then recovered. They take time but regrow. So if your coral is healthy, happy, and in a good environment it should be just fine to regrow over the exposed area one day.
