What's the minimum tank size for a bannerfish or more specifically the Heniochus diphreutes?

Would a diphreutes be alright in a 5x2x2 150 gallon?

You might get away with it depending on what you have already.

My tank is 6'x22"x22" and I wouldn't put even one of them in it because the low height and depth and it would make my tank look small.

Yeah definitely not set on the diphreutes because of their size. Think I should swap him out with another tang? Here's the stocklist I've been thinking about.

yellow tang
Heniochus diphreutes- would a purple, powder brown, or whitecheek tang be better?
5 blue/green chromis
3 resplendent anthias
-then everything from my 75
exquisite wrasse
vrolik's wrasse
2 clowns
midas blenny

You need to list 'EVERYTHING FROM MY 75" before anyone can make an accurate comment. That being said, only one tang might be best and added last.

I wouldn't put the Heniochus or an acanthurus tang (ie.powder brown or white cheek) in a 5 foot tank. Both need a lot of swimming room. Check out the Ctenochaetus tangs for another larger fish, maybe a cardinalfish or two? A pair of banggai cardinalfish would look good with your other guys? If this is a FOWLR then a flame angel and a butterfly like the dotdash or pearlscale would look nice as well.

I took 3 small ones from a friend who was moving away, and altho delightful with their constant cruising together, they quickly outgrew my 180g tank and I gave them to a friend with a 350g.

Pic at bottom right was before the heniochus, top right is after addition. See how they fill up a tank rather quickly? These guys can get big.

Long-term, these are only suitable for really big tanks imo.
