Anyone seen one available?
I saw one about a month ago but had too many fish in QT at the time.

I just got three about two weeks ago from a vendor in Hawaii. I contacted him and he sent me a text when they became available. All are doing good in QT. His online site is zoacollecter.com.

Pyramids are hard to find; just requires patience. I put in an in-stock alert with LA and 'pounced' when they came in.

Believe it or not I got mine from Petco Online. Basically it's like buying retail from Quality Marine. Mine were very healthy and did great in QT.

Petco online is radically different than Petco stores.

+1 depending on how many you are looking for a diver in Hawaii may be the best bet. I would contact Jordan at amongthereef.com. I'm currently trying to track down a group of 8-10 of them

Isn't Petco Online now Live Aquaria since the buy out?

Yes but more importantly before they were one company they both had their websites tied to Quality Marines Stocklist so you got the same fish from either company, you may have paid more though depending on what site you purchased thru

Well this has been quite a journey. I had one LFS get me one that was sick. No go there.
Then last week, LA had them when I checked Saturday AM. Ordered on the spot, and it arrived Tuesday.
So what happens Friday? I go to my regular LFS and they have 4 of them!!!!
I wish they had called me, but they have recently had almost 100% turnover so the guys that know what I am looking for without checking the book are no longer there.
In any case, my list just got shorter.

Yup!
I look everywhere for months and nothing.
Then in the space of a week, everyone has them.
Must be season on them or something.
Gotto go put 'King Tut' in the third TTM. Wish me luck.

And he never ate............
LA was quite good about giving credit. I'll try again after vacation.
I'm gonna get one to live if it kills me. Same with a CBB. SMH

Yellow Pyramids are pigs with fins. If you get one that doesn't eat there's something significantly amiss with it. The first pair I bought wouldn't eat and died pretty quickly. The next quartet couldn't get enough to eat and they all made it into the display.

That's what I'm hoping for!
I hope they are still in season when I get back from vacation.

Thanks, but I am leaving on vacation tomorrow. No time for TTM before I leave.
In addition, there are now 5 LFS near me that have then in stock. Go figure.
At least I will know that June is Pyramid month!

Do these do well in pairs or are a larger group needed?

I think they do well in all situations (single, pair, or group). They're a very peaceful species. Just make sure the tank is big enough for any number you keep because they do like to swim in the open.
