So was looking online at cheap alternatives for t5 lighting and besides a retro fit kit and buying reflectors what do you guys think of this option?http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160411/597ee734c1a6e1e48a8989df123ad3e9.jpg

Now the plan is to have this over a 48 x 24 x 21h gallon tank. Want to do 2 ATI coral + bulbs and 2 FM royal blue or ATI blue +
Is this going to be enough for lps and softies?

I would think 6 full length bulbs would be just fine. Make sure you change the bulbs on a schedule. I have 2 hydra 26 leds on my 48inch tank and am very satisfied.

I would just look and be patient. You can find nice used T5 fixtures, designed for reef aquaria. I think that will be a very "cheap" looking shop light. It won't hold up at all with saltwater and no splash guard. The reflectors will suck, probably just white pans. Plus, it's nice to have two plugs to control of actinics.
Just my opinion but, I think if you look around, you can find some nice used fixtures for around 100 bucks, for sure 150. It's a bit more money, but you will have a better light for what you are trying to accomplish.
