For a 300 gallon DD.

Are the ai hydra 52 had worth it?

Don't think I like halides anymore due to electricity, fire risk, and bulb replacement every 10 months but they do make the tank look great.

Which would you go with and why? (And if another led, could you mention it as well)

on a 300DD I think you mean 6 hydra52's. You would need 2 rows of three for decent coverage or the three and between 4 and 8 t-5 tubes depending on your long term goals for the tank.

I've got the 3 hydras and 7 5' t5s on a 300 DD and it is well lit
